She's endearing and plucky, there are fun side characters, and there is a romance but I didn't feel the romance aspect was very strong. Vanessa Yu's Magical Paris Tea Shop by Roselle Lim reads more like chick lit to me - Vanessa Yu has special powers and ends up in Paris at her aunt's tea shop. There's an endearing and plucky MC and some sunshine/grumpy going on. Kindle Unlimited.Ĭhasing Mindy by Carla de Guzman is a novella - the heroine is visiting Paris, her dream city, and a family friend is pressed into showing her around town. Under the Stars of Paris by Mary Burchell was written in the 1960s and feels like it but otherwise fits many of the things you're looking for (plucky MC, sunshine/grumpy pairing, fashion setting). These are all Paris but that's kind of a coincidence, I think authors just like Paris!
